A former examining magistrate from Lyon was sentenced on Monday to a fine of 1,000 euros for "contempt of person depositary of public authority", after the impounding of his car.
Wishing to forcibly recover his vehicle, in which he had left documents concerning an "important judicial operation", the magistrate then insulted the police officers on duty.
In the meantime, his superiors sanctioned him.
Demoted, he was transferred to Pontoise.
A 59-year-old former examining magistrate from Lyon was sentenced on Monday by the Chambéry criminal court - where the case was out of place - to a fine of 1,000 euros for having insulted "persons holding authority public”.
However, this conviction will not be mentioned in his criminal record, as requested by the prosecutor.
On April 3, 2019, the magistrate insulted the police after his car was impounded.
Returning from a day of training he had given in Aix-en-Provence, the man had gone to a restaurant and had parked his vehicle in front of the entrance to a private garage.
He then asked firmly to recover his car in which there were instruction documents.
