She noted that Washington is aware that it is difficult for Russian citizens to travel to Warsaw to obtain immigrant visas.

“Therefore, we are now trying to identify other, more accessible places for Russians for this purpose,” she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Rude stressed that the United States "remains ready to accept Russians who want to visit the country or come to study with us."

In September, the American embassy noted that Russians can still apply for US immigrant visas in Poland, despite Warsaw's measures to issue tourist visas to Russians.
