Al-Mansoori said: "Students of determination who are deaf and hard of hearing face great difficulty in enrolling in public universities, due to the lack of interpreters specialized in sign language and in various disciplines, as well as the lack of understanding of the nature of this important group in society."



She added, "If the students who are deaf and hard of hearing are accepted in public universities, it will be through one specialization, due to the small number of translators, and thus they are deprived of their right to choose the specialization that suits their capabilities and abilities," noting the importance of opening new horizons for the university educational process and continuing development, especially Suitable for people of determination who are deaf and hard of hearing.



Al-Mansoori demanded the need to provide a sufficient number of translators for deaf and hard-of-hearing students in various scientific and academic disciplines in public universities, and to train them in advanced ways that ensure correct translation and delivery of information to students as it is without any distortion or diligence that may disturb the vocabulary and meanings of words, in addition to the importance of opening the way for Deaf people of determination choose the majors that suit them, in a way that enhances the continuation of their educational and academic career within the country, just like their peers.



Al Mansouri stressed the need for people of determination who are deaf and hard of hearing to have equal educational opportunities, which is the simplest of their educational rights and access to an appropriate education for them, in light of the great interest of the wise leadership in supporting and caring for people of determination and preserving their rights in the UAE society through a developed legislative system that takes into account Equal opportunities and the continuation of their normal life in all aspects of life, which enhances their role in the process of construction, development, development and progress that the UAE is witnessing in various fields and sectors.
