In France, 1/4 of people seen in food banks are under 25 years old.

To eat at a lower cost, more and more students are turning to free distribution...like those offered by the Linkee association in the Paris region, where there are more and more young people.

Insecurity is worsening among young people.

Especially in terms of food.

With rising supermarket prices, students can no longer keep up.

In France, 1/4 of the people seen in food banks are under 25 years old.

Because to eat at a lower cost, more and more students are turning to free distributions...like those offered by the Linkee association in the Paris region.

Bundled up in their coats with their shopping bags slung over their shoulders, hundreds of students wait their turn in the street.

Since the start of the school year in September, 600 have come here, twice as many as last year.

Access to off-budget food products for students

During each food distribution, the Linkee association offers fruit and vegetables, fresh and dried products and also hygiene kits.

In total: each of the students leaves with 5 to 7 kg of food.

Enough to allow Lisa to eat a balanced diet and above all to save money: "we are not necessarily going to buy fruits and vegetables ourselves because it is expensive, recognizes the student, so it allows us to ensure that the students eat better."
