After a defeat in Bayonne (22-26) and a draw at home against Stade Français (16-16), Stade Toulousain, deprived in particular of scrum half Antoine Dupont (suspended), international pillar Cyril Baille (injured) and several other internationals, resting, therefore remains on three matches without success.

It still retains the lead in the championship, with a four-point lead over La Rochelle.

Lyon, author of an excellent performance in defense, which thus won its seventh victory of the season, initially relied on the boot of its opener Léo Berdeu (11 points, 4 out of 7 only), to stay in contact at the break (6-7).

Hampered for half time by Toulouse's aggressive defense, the Lyonnais then forced the lock at the start of the second half, with their two will-o'-the-wisps, Georgian full-back Davit Niniashvili (13-7, 47th) and winger Ethan Dumortier (18-7, 54th).

Toulouse had opened the scoring on a personal feat by opener Romain Ntamack (7-0, 16th), who flattened the first try of the game with a kick to follow.

Apart from this flash, the leader did not show much.

In the second half, the visitors failed to exploit two throws into touch (62nd, 63rd), near the Lyon goal line.

The try scored by the flanker, Alban Placines, was too late to call Lyon's success into question (21-14, 78th).
