Turkish warplanes carried out intense air raids, targeting areas where Kurdish forces are deployed in the northern countryside of Aleppo in northeastern Syria. The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said in a press statement yesterday that the raids targeted locations in Menagh military airport, Shawarga, Maraanaz, and Al-Malikiyah, without information about casualties.

According to the Observatory, the bombing came about three days after the Turkish air strikes on the areas of the Autonomous Administration and the Kurdish forces stopped.

According to the Observatory, since the start of the escalation on the 19th of this month, Turkish warplanes launched 50 raids, targeting vehicles, points, areas and separate locations in Aleppo, Al-Hasakah and Al-Raqqa, killing 45 people and wounding 34 others with varying degrees of injury.

Turkey announced the neutralization of more than 300 Kurdish militants in an attack on northern Syria and northern Iraq, and Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that Operation "Claw - Sword" is continuing with punitive strikes with air and ground support vehicles.

The operation, targeting the YPG and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), came a week after a bomb attack in Istanbul killed six people and wounded more than 80.

Ankara blames the units and the party, while the two groups deny the accusation.

In addition, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the killing of two of its soldiers in the operation area in northern Iraq.

The ministry indicated that the two soldiers were killed after being hit by PKK fire, and pointed out that three soldiers were wounded in the attack.
