Two people died in the Donetsk People's Republic over the past day as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to Ukraine's War Crimes reported.

“Over the past 24 hours, information has been received about the death of two civilians in the Kievsky district of Donetsk and the Central City district of Horlivka,” the report says.

At the same time, two civilians in the Kirovsky and Kievsky districts of Donetsk received injuries of varying severity.

In total, over the past day, the territory of the DPR was shelled 24 times by Ukrainian armed forces, which fired 97 pieces of artillery and mortar ammunition.

“18 housing constructions were damaged in the Kirovsky, Kuibyshevsky and Kievsky districts of Donetsk, the Kalininsky and Nikitovsky districts of Gorlovka, as well as two civilian infrastructure facilities,” the official information summary of the DPR JCCC says.

In the Lugansk People's Republic, it was reported that over the past day, Ukrainian armed formations fired twice at the settlements of Svatovo and Nizhnyaya Duvanka, using six shells of a 155-mm artillery gun.

According to the representative office of the LPR in the JCCC, a woman born in 1953 and a man born in 1986 were injured.

“For the inhumanity of the West, not Washington and European capitals are paying, but Ukraine”

Russia is capable of destroying Ukraine in a day without the use of nuclear weapons, but is showing restraint because of the historical commonality, said Paul Craig Roberts, a former White House official during the Ronald Reagan administration.

“Ukraine and its population have been part of Russia for centuries,” he said, adding that Moscow does not want the ruins of an impoverished country to be near their borders.

At the same time, according to him, Washington benefits from the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

The position of the United States presidential administration is that the more the Kyiv regime creates problems for Moscow, the better, no matter what the cost to the Ukrainian people.

“What is happening now reflects the immense inhumanity of Washington and the capitals of NATO countries.

It is unfair that it is not Washington and European capitals that are paying for the inhumanity of the West, but Ukraine, ”he said on his website.

In addition, the ex-employee of the White House pointed out that the population of Western countries, due to the work of local media, had a false idea about the situation in Ukraine.

“Of course, corrupt Western media do not cover the true state of affairs.

Western journalists are the Ministry of Propaganda.

They paint a picture of Russia failing,” Roberts concluded.

Problems of the West due to the supply of weapons to Ukraine

Western countries are experiencing problems with the supply of weapons to Ukraine, writes The New York Times, citing NATO representatives.

Thus, the material says that 20 out of 30 members of the North Atlantic Alliance "significantly exhausted themselves" in the issue of providing military assistance to the Kyiv regime.

At the same time, in general, NATO countries transferred weapons worth $40 billion to Ukraine, which is comparable to the annual military budget of France.

The article also points out that the consumption of ammunition in Ukraine is much higher than that of the United States in Afghanistan.

The Ukrainian military fired between 6,000 and 7,000 artillery rounds a day in the Donbass last summer, according to a senior NATO official, while only 15,000 rounds are fired in the United States every month.

As Alexei Podberyozkin, director of the Center for Military-Political Studies, previously noted in an interview with RT, NATO countries have practically exhausted their resources.

According to him, representatives of the alliance "are beginning to pump out weapons and military equipment not from warehouses, but from military units."
