As early as September, Jimmy usually starts decorating both his house and the associated garden for Christmas.

As he only uses energy-saving LED lights as decoration, the electricity bill only ends up being a couple of hundred Swedish kroner extra.

Despite that, this year he has chosen to forgo his decorating tradition.

- I don't want to send the wrong signals.

It's not because of the price that I'm staying again.

It will only be a few hundred Swedish kroner more on the electricity bill, says Jimmy Strandberg.

Two kilometers of Christmas wreaths may remain

Christmas decorations and Christmas lights are neatly packed in a number of moving boxes.

There they can stay until next Christmas approaches.

- This year I have probably only picked out ten percent of my Christmas things.

I think I have a total of 2,000 meters of string lights that will remain until next Christmas, says Jimmy Strandberg about his project.

- In total, I probably have 2,000 meters of energy-saving light strings and this year I will probably only use 100-200 meters of these, says Jimmy Strandberg.
