Clear victory for Dalic's team.

Davies' goal deluded Canada after just one minute.

In the second half Croatia (after the first half at 2 to 1 for the chess national team) restores the "expected distances" and closes at 4 to 1: goals from Kramaric, Livaja, Kramaric again, and Majer in full recovery.

Croatia and Morocco now lead Group F with 4 points.

The first half

Ready to go: Buchanan's cross from the right towards the center of the area, where Davies anticipates everyone and hits with a header, immediately giving Canada the lead.

It's a record goal because it's immediate, and because it's the first goal by the North Americans in the history of the World Cup.

After a quarter of an hour the pace of play slows down, with the two teams studying each other in midfield.

In the 26th minute Kramaric scored for Croatia, but the goal was immediately disallowed for offside by Livaja.

Ten minutes later the goal is valid: on the developments of the corner kick, Perisic, from the edge of the area, finds a through ball for Kramaric who, from a tight angle, hits with his left foot putting the ball in the opposite corner.

In less than ten minutes Dalic's team signs the overtaking.

Juranovic, after a good personal action, draws Livaja (ex Inter, Empoli and Cesena) who, from the edge of the area, with his left foot, puts the ball in the corner to the right of the goal defended by Borjan.

2-1 for Croatia.

Second half

In the second half, Canada had an opportunity in the 49th minute: a sudden shot by the new substitute Osorio from 20 metres, with the ball grazing the post to the right of Croatia's goal.

Five minutes later Modric, from the right, draws Kramaric at the edge of the area.

The number 9 strikes with his right foot almost without fail, but Borjan, thanks to an excellent save, deflects for a corner.

Continuous reversals in front.

In fact, at the 56th minute Buchanan fished David on the edge of the area.

The number 20 goes for a shot with the right foot, with the Croatia goalkeeper lifting the ball over the crossbar.

In the 70th minute Dalic's national team increases the lead.

Perisic fishes Kramaric from the left who blocks with his right foot and returns to the left, overtaking his direct opponent and then putting the ball in the corner to the right of the Canadian goal.

Brace for the Hoffenheim striker.

In full recovery, in the 94th minute, Croatia spreads.

Defensive error by Miller who favors Orsic.

The Dinamo Zagreb striker advanced and, having arrived face to face with the opposing goalkeeper, served Majer who scored practically into an empty net for the 4-1.

Final whistle at the 97th minute: triumphant vice-champions of the world, perhaps an excessive passive for Canada.
