A man found dead on the side of the road, the gendarmerie is looking for witnesses

The tragedy occurred shortly after 5 a.m. on November 24.

A truck driver noticed in the early morning the presence of a body in the middle of the RM63 road in Reichstett, towards Wantzenau (Bas-Rhin).

When the firefighters arrived, the man was in cardiorespiratory arrest and the emergency services could only confirm his death, indicates the SDIS 67 in its report.

The 46-year-old man was reportedly hit by one or more vehicles as he was about to take up his post in the activity zone at 5 a.m. For several weeks, the

reported , the man went to work on an electric scooter but the latter was not found at the scene of the tragedy.

An investigation, entrusted to the gendarmes of the Mundolsheim brigade, was opened to determine the precise circumstances of the accident.

They are looking for any information on what happened between the gravel pit and the roundabout at the intersection of the RM63 and the D468.
