It was shortly before noon on Saturday when a 64-year-old man was shot in the hip while participating in a wild boar hunt in the town of Rudeau-Ladosse, in Dordogne.
According to France Bleu Périgord, he was taken care of in the middle of the forest by the Samu doctor before being transported to the hospital in Périgueux.
The days of the hunter, seriously injured, are however not in danger.
On the spot, an investigation for "unintentional injuries" was opened by the Périgueux prosecutor's office and the gendarmerie went on site to question the various protagonists of this hunting party.
The author of the shot would be a 34-year-old man according to the local radio who was heard by the soldiers during the day, without being taken into custody.
