Xi Jinping announces intention to develop relations with North Korea

"I consider Sino-North Korean relations extremely important," the Chinese leader said.

Xi Jinping expressed confidence that the friendly relations between the two countries will lead to stability, development and prosperity in the region and around the world.

Earlier, Russia's deputy permanent representative to the UN, Anna Evstigneeva, said that North Korea's missile tests are a natural response to the large-scale exercises of the United States and its allies in the region.
