The provisional list of six lucky gaming operating licenses awarded are: MGM Grand Paradise Co., Ltd., Galaxy Casino Co., Ltd., Venetian Macau Co., Ltd., Melco Crown (Macau) Co., Ltd., Wynn Resorts (Macau) Co., Ltd. and Macao Entertainment Integrated Resort Co., Ltd.
According to reports, according to the Chief Executive's Instruction No. 136/2022, starting from July 29 this year, the SAR government launched a new round of open bidding procedures for the approval of gaming operations.
The closing date of the public bidding is September 14, and a total of seven companies submitted tenders before the closing date.
The bidding committee conducted the bid opening process on September 16, and seven companies were accepted to participate in the subsequent process.
According to the laws and regulations of the bidding plan, the Bidding Committee conducted consultations with the companies participating in the bidding. After analyzing the content of the bidding documents submitted by each company and subsequent bidding documents, it submitted a relevant report to the Chief Executive a few days ago.
After considering the contents of the Bidding Committee’s report, especially the relevant conclusions and recommendations, the Chief Executive issued Chief Executive’s Instruction No. 205/2022 today, deciding to temporarily award casino lucky gaming operations to six companies participating in the bidding.
After several rounds of negotiations with the bidding committee, the bid conditions and commitments submitted by the company were temporarily awarded, which met the requirements of the SAR government in ensuring the employment of local employees, developing foreign tourist source markets, and developing non-gaming projects.
Next, the Bidding Committee will negotiate with the six temporarily awarded companies on the content of the award contract in accordance with the law, and will complete the confirmation of the gaming operation and the signing of the award contract before the end of this year, so that From January 1 next year, the new franchise company can operate in accordance with the revised gaming legal system and the new grant contract.
