The fight was between incumbent chair Matilda Ekeblad – who took over the chair from Benjamin Dousa two years ago – and Douglas Thor.

He announced in October that he wanted to take over the leadership.

In the vote, Thor won 52 of the 101 representatives in the country.

Muf has long been characterized by internal contradictions between two phalanxes and this year's campaign has been rowdy, writes Expressen.

Thor and Ekeblad belong to different phalanxes.

Thor has previously emphasized that he wants Muf to become less ideological and focus more on feasible politics.
