La France insoumise, which had the opportunity to set the agenda on Thursday, had chosen to submit to the inclusion of abortion in the Constitution.
A bill adopted, thanks to an agreement between the Nupes, the RN and the majority.
However, the text has little chance of entering the Constitution.
The parliamentary niche of France Insoumise ended Thursday evening at midnight.
This allows each group to set the agenda for the Assembly for one day.
LFI had chosen to submit the inclusion of abortion in the Constitution, and the bill was adopted without difficulty with 337 votes and 32 against.
A "historic sign"
After five hours of discussions, the Nupes, the majority and the RN voted in favor.
Part of the Republicans, meanwhile, opposed by denouncing a societal overbidding.
For France Insoumise, it is, at this stage, a great political victory.
"Colleague", addresses Mathilde Panot to her colleagues after the vote, "I am very moved both by this vote and by this historic signal that the National Assembly is honored to send to all the women of our country, but also to all the women of the world."
MP LFI was the rapporteur for the text, and welcomes this first step towards constitutionalizing abortion.
But there is still a long way to go.
By 337 votes for, 32 against, the National Assembly votes in favor of the bill to include #abortion in the Constitution.

The right to abortion is far from entering the Constitution because the text still has to obtain a majority in the Senate, then be submitted to a referendum, which has little chance of succeeding, the Upper House having rejected a similar proposal on last month.
Many elected officials are thus urging the government to present its own bill, which would avoid the referendum, but would require, to be adopted, to obtain a 3/5 majority of Congress, i.e. the Assembly and the Senate. reunited.

As for the ban on bullfighting, the other subject imposed by France Insoumise on the Assembly, the text was ultimately not debated.
