It is noted that Macron intends to convince Biden to make exceptions for a number of industries, following the example of Canada and Mexico.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron criticized the law adopted by the Biden administration in the United States to reduce inflation, calling it unfriendly and inconsistent with the standards of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

In August, Biden signed into law an anti-inflation bill that the U.S. Congress had previously approved.
