It is still unclear whether it was an accident or a suicide.

In the early evening, a body was lying under a white sheet, at the foot of a building located at No. 78 rue Pierre-Mauroy.

It was a 72-year-old woman, living on the 5th floor of the residence.

In circumstances that have yet to be determined, the victim fell through the window of his home and crashed into a construction barrier and then onto the sidewalk.

Alone at the time of the tragedy

It was a witness to the scene who contacted the emergency services before trying to resuscitate the septuagenarian.

In vain.

Upon their arrival on the spot, the firefighters and the SMUR could only note the death of this woman.

Using the ladder, the firefighters went to recognize the victim's home and were able to see that she was alone inside at the time of the tragedy.

An investigation has been opened.
