A rape case dating from 2007 is being tried for the third time since Wednesday.
After being convicted at first instance and then on appeal for raping a former student, a violin teacher appealed to the Court of Assizes of Isère in Grenoble;

In 2017, the accused was first sentenced to eleven years in prison and then imprisoned.
After appealing, he was released before being again sentenced to twelve years in prison in 2020 by the Assize Court of Drôme.
The question of "control"
During this final cassation trial, his lawyer questioned the notion of "control" mentioned by that of the victim.
“The plaintiff was an adult during the two scenes for which my client is accused.
So it is up to the prosecution to prove that during these two scenes qualified as rape, there was coercion, ”he argued, specifying that he would plead the acquittal of his client.
The verdict is expected on Friday.
