In addition, Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Eui-gyeom expressed regret to President Yoon Seok-yeol, who was the subject of the suspicion, saying that there was a 'lie' statement from the person concerned in relation to the suspicion of the 'Cheongdam-dong drinking party' raised by him today (24th).

Rep. Kim said in a text message sent to reporters today, "The person who said he saw the 'Cheongdam-dong drinking party' said to the police that it was a lie." "I express my deepest regret to the president and others involved."

Rep. Kim said, "It is a matter of course as a member of the National Assembly to receive important information related to state affairs and confirm it during the state audit," he said.

At the same time, he mentioned, "I will continue to fulfill my 'duties and responsibilities' by asking and arguing on behalf of the people."

The 'Cheongdam-dong Drinking Party' is a suspicion raised by Congressman Kim on the 24th of last month in a comprehensive audit of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee of the National Assembly.

Rep. Kim claimed that Minister Han Dong-hoon, who attended the audit at the time, had a late-night drink at a high-end bar in Cheongdam-dong with President Yoon and 30 lawyers from Kim & Chang on July 19-20 this year.

At the time, Minister Han denied the claim, and Rep. Kim stated that he had confirmed the facts after receiving a detailed report.

The ruling party demanded the resignation of Congressman Kim when it was known that the cellist who claimed to have seen President Yoon and Minister Han at a drinking party in Cheongdam-dong was a lie in a police investigation.

At the meeting of the People's Power Emergency Response Committee held at the National Assembly this morning, a censure toward Congressman Kim continued.

Jeon Joo-hye, a member of the emergency committee, said, "(Rep. Kim) had a party of lies to the public at the National Supervisory Board," and criticized him as "a person who should not be in the position of a public figure anymore."

She then urged her to "promote a public apology for lying to the public and resign her seat as a member of Congress to show responsibility for her words and actions."

"Democratic Party spokesman Kim Eui-gyeom lied at the National Assembly," said Kim Haeng, non-committee.

Kim Byung-min, a member of the emergency committee, also argued, "Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung is most responsible for this fake news taking over the Democratic Party."

Rep. Kim Ki-hyun, the party's runner-up, said on his social media, "Isn't Rep. Kim Eui-gyeom, the 'Heukseok-geosa' who lives with lies in his mouth, now have to resign his position as a member of parliament?" Anyone who does this is not qualified to be a member of the National Assembly,” he said.

Criticisms such as “an incident that shows the current level of the Democratic Party” (Rep. Seo Beom-soo) and “Minister Han staked all public offices, what will you be responsible for” (Rep. Sang-beom Yoo) continued.
