An investigation opened during the month of November for drug trafficking in Aveyron led to the arrest of three people.

Rodez police also seized drugs, a weapon and cash, they said in a statement on Tuesday, reports France 3 Occitanie.

Following investigations in the field and on the internet, the police managed to “identify and locate the main dealer located in the municipality of Le Monastère.

On November 14, investigators arrested the dealer and his accomplices before placing them in police custody.



The three suspects sentenced

During the searches, more than 1,900 euros in cash, a 357 Magnum caliber revolver and ammunition were discovered.

More than a kilo of cannabis resin, 888 grams of herbal cannabis and 208 grams of cocaine were also found.

Brought to justice as part of an immediate appearance, the suspects were all convicted.

The trafficker was sentenced to five years in prison and was incarcerated while his accomplices were sentenced to one year and eighteen months in prison, suspended.
