A man in his 70s has been found dead after a shooting in a residential area at Teleborg in Växjö municipality.
The alarm came in just before 6pm on Tuesday and the police are classifying the case as murder.
- We receive calls about loud bangs and shortly afterwards a man is found injured and the man has suspected gunshot wounds, says police spokesperson Rickard Lundqvist to SVT.
The police do not want to go into the damage situation at this time.
The crime scene was cordoned off for further investigation and door knocking has begun in the area.
- We have taken investigative measures.
Among other things, the scene is cordoned off and any witnesses are interrogated.
Then we look for one or more perpetrators, says Richard Lundqvist at the police.
