The State Duma Committee recommended to reject the amendment banning LGBT people and violence in video games

The amendment proposes to establish a ban on the distribution of game materials that promote violence, pornography or contain profanity.

The amendment also provides for a ban on LGBT propaganda in computer games.

Earlier it was reported that the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education, Yana Lantratova, proposed an amendment to the bill on LGBT propaganda, according to which computer games containing materials promoting pornography, cruelty and violence, as well as profanity, may be banned in Russia.

Among other things, she proposed to ban the series of games Assassin's Creed and The Last of Us.
