During Cambodia's tenure as the rotating chair of ASEAN, the relationship between ASEAN and China reached the best level in history. Cambodia actively promoted the signing of the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea and hoped to jointly maintain peace and tranquility in the South China Sea.

Thanks to the Chinese military for its strong support and assistance to Cambodia's military construction, and hopes that the two militaries will continue to strengthen cooperation in various fields.

  Wei Fenghe introduced the situation and important achievements of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

He said that China and Cambodia are traditionally friendly neighbors and brotherly brothers.

Under the leadership of President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Hun Sen, the construction of the China-Cambodia community of shared future has been continuously stepped up to a new level, and the bilateral relationship has been renewed and strengthened over time.

In recent years, the two militaries have overcome the impact of the epidemic and carried out practical cooperation in high-level exchanges, mechanism building, joint exercises and training, and personnel training.

  Wei Fenghe also held talks with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Tea Banh, and met with Hong Manai, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Army and Army Commander.
