Seven films by Hong Kong directors

Three Chinese films deal with subjects that could not be shown in cinemas in their country of origin.

Absence of mainstream Chinese films

But for the fourth time in a row, mainstream Chinese films are conspicuous by their absence.

Moreover, most Chinese and Hong Kong stars will not walk the red carpet, for fear of being blacklisted for their supposed support for Taiwan:
