Beware of disguised crooks.

The Metropolis of Orléans (Loiret) warns against people who pretend to be its agents and who come to the homes of residents to sell them calendars, reports

La République du Center

.

The latter claim to be garbage collectors.

An initiative authorized by the community

To avoid being fooled, the authorities advise residents to systematically ask for the person's professional card or to identify whether their clothes have the correct logo.

The agents in charge of waste collection have indeed been authorized by the community to sell calendars.

In the event that the canvassers are unable to prove their real function or their membership of the services of the Metropolis, the inhabitants can then alert the municipal police.
