The police have raised the alarm that a large number of passports and ID documents are not collected at the country's passport offices.
After three months you get a reminder and then the passport is canceled after another month.
- We have approximately 10,000 passports in our boxes waiting to be picked up, says Henrik Mårtensson, acting local police chief in Malmö.
But when many people leave their jobs at the same time during lunch to pick up their passports, they are met by long queues.
- They write on a note that it is best to pick it up between 8-11, but you can't always adjust the time when you work, says Elvir Dubicanac, one of those who turned in the door because the queue was too long.
