Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the root cause of the situation that led to the incident in eastern Poland was the activities of the United States and NATO.

So he commented on the statement of the White House that, regardless of the final conclusions about the emergency with the fall of missiles in Poland, Russia will bear responsibility for it.

“Americans say in the paradigm “if it weren’t for this, then there wouldn’t be this.”

Then it makes sense to rewind back - and we will see the root cause of everything.

This is NATO and the United States at the head, ”RIA Novosti quotes Peskov.

Recall that on the evening of November 15, the Polish media reported about the fall of missiles in the village of Przewoduv in the eastern part of the country.

The Polish Foreign Ministry soon issued a statement stating the Russian origin of the missiles that fell on the territory of the republic.

The next day, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that a massive blow had been dealt to Ukraine, but we are talking only about the territory of this country.

The defense ministry emphasized that experts who studied images of the wreckage of missiles that fell in Poland unequivocally determined that these were elements of shells used in the Ukrainian air defense system.

Later, Polish President Andrzej Duda also expressed the opinion that the rocket that fell on the territory of the country belonged to the Ukrainian air defense forces.

In addition, the head of the White House, Joe Biden, noted that the statements of the Ukrainian side about the origin of the rocket are not proof.

"Not Just Deliberate Disinformation"

Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzia said that Ukraine and Poland tried to provoke a direct clash between Russia and NATO through the incident with the fall of missiles on the border.

At a meeting of the UN Security Council, Nebenzya drew attention to the fact that a meeting on the situation around Ukraine was requested last week, but this topic was not formulated in advance.

As the diplomat noted, the initiators of the meeting showed "amazing insight."

“If the meeting had not been scheduled, it would have to be convened to discuss the attempts of Ukraine and Poland to provoke a direct clash between Russia and NATO,” Nebenzya said.

He cited as an example a number of statements by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, who calls the state of emergency in Poland "a Russian missile strike against collective security."

As Nebenzia noted, the President of Ukraine, making such statements, cannot fail to know that it was Ukrainian missiles fired by the air defense system that flew into the territory of Poland.

“This means that this is not just deliberate disinformation, but also a conscious attempt to involve NATO, which is waging a “war by proxy” with Russia in Ukraine, in a direct clash with our country,” the diplomat said.

In addition, he drew attention to the initial position of Poland itself, whose authorities soon after the incident began to categorically assert that it was a question of a Russian missile.

As Nebenzya recalled, Warsaw "in the middle of the night" called the Russian ambassador, who was protested.

“And this is despite the fact that photos published in social networks “in hot pursuit” leave no doubt that Ukrainian air defense missiles flew into Poland.

Actually, this has already been confirmed in plain text even in NATO and in the West as a whole, ”he said.

Along with this, Nebenzya recalled that the Ukrainian air defense has long had a "bad reputation."

As the diplomat recalled, in October 2001, a Russian civilian plane flying from Tel Aviv to Novosibirsk was shot down over the Black Sea during military exercises, resulting in the death of 78 people.

According to the diplomat, over the past few months, footage with the consequences of Ukrainian air defense hits on residential buildings, behind which these systems were located in various cities, has been in the public field.

“They are clumsily trying to pass off as the consequences of Russian strikes inflicted by high-precision weapons on military facilities and critical infrastructure,” Nebenzya said.

According to him, if such weapons really got into residential buildings, "there would be no trace of them."
