Xi Jinping and Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg Exchange Congratulatory Messages on the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations Between China and Luxembourg

　　On November 16, President Xi Jinping and Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg exchanged congratulatory messages to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

　　Xi Jinping pointed out that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 50 years ago, China and Luxembourg have always respected and trusted each other, and have become a model of friendly coexistence and mutually beneficial cooperation between big and small countries.

The two countries have achieved fruitful results in exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and the Zhengzhou-Luxembourg "Air Silk Road" has built an air bridge connecting China and Europe.

After the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, China and Luxembourg joined hands to fight the epidemic, injecting new connotations into the friendship between the two countries.

I attach great importance to the development of China-Luxembourg relations, and am willing to work together with Grand Duke Henri to take the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to promote the sustained and healthy development of China-Luxembourg relations, so as to benefit the two countries and the two peoples.

　　Henry said that since Luxembourg and China established diplomatic relations half a century ago, bilateral cooperation in politics, economy, humanities and other fields has achieved remarkable results, and the friendship between the two peoples has continued to deepen.

Rwanda is willing to work with China to promote exchanges, strengthen cooperation, and jointly safeguard world peace and stability.

　　On the same day, Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council exchanged congratulatory messages with Prime Minister Bettel of Luxembourg.

Li Keqiang expressed that China is willing to, together with Luxembourg, take the opportunity of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries to solidly promote bilateral practical cooperation in various fields, so as to push China-Luxembourg relations to new heights.

Bettel said that Rwanda attaches great importance to the development of Rwanda-China relations, and is willing to work with China to continuously explore new areas of cooperation between the two countries and promote the continuous development of bilateral relations.
