Inside the dressing room, all the players in the women's team have gathered.

The season has just started and now there are matches every week.

- The nearest opponent is in Sundsvall, says Wilma Nilsen.

Long journeys for the team

The players in Östersund's bandy club are used to long journeys.

For the women's team, for example, the nearest opponent is in Söråker outside Sundsvall.

It is about 20 miles to get there.

But they also play matches in, for example, Kalix, 65 miles away.

- It will be many hours on the bus, laughs Anna-Sara Carlsson.

Increased training fees

The long distances mean that the association is directly affected by increased fuel costs.

But also other increased overheads now mean that the association has to take several measures to get the finances together.

Among other things, the training fees have been raised from SEK 350 to SEK 500.

In the video above, you can hear more about what the association is doing and how players believe that increased fuel costs could affect both the association and individual members.
