About fifty firefighters and 35 vehicles were mobilized to rescue the two passengers of an ultralight aircraft which crashed this Saturday afternoon in Traînou (Loiret).

The alert was given at 6:35 a.m.

The two men, aged 55 and 76, survived the accident, reports France Bleu Orléans.

Their vital prognosis was not engaged at the time of their medical treatment.

An investigation has been opened.

It is led by the Air Transport Gendarmerie Brigade (BGTA).

The investigations must in particular determine what led to the fall of the aircraft.

The microlight ended up in a forest area, but was not damaged in the crash.

One of the two victims triggered the aircraft's safety parachute.

This action would have saved the aircraft.

A large-scale operation was organized to help the two victims.
