A fire broke out on Sunday in a foster home in Montpellier (Hérault).

It was rubbish that caught fire on the ground floor of this four-storey building.

The fire was quickly brought under control by firefighters, who prevented it from spreading to the apartments.

Twelve people were however slightly injured, five of them were taken to hospital for check-ups.

Among these victims, a 32-year-old man, who jumped to escape the flames, a 50-year-old man who inhaled fumes, a 30-year-old woman who suffered from a burn on her foot and a 40-year-old man who injured his wrist, note the firefighters.
