9:13 a.m.: Ukraine's Central Bank prepares for possible power outages
The Central Bank of Ukraine announces that it is preparing the country's banking system to operate under emergency conditions, due to possible power outages.
"It is envisaged to ensure the viability of 14 systemically important banks in the country. In case of absolute necessity, the National Bank will ensure in the first place the vital activities of the state banks", indicated the institution on the Telegram messaging app.
Russia is systematically attacking Ukraine's energy sector, causing power outages across much of the country.
