The Emergency Department of the Infanta Sofía hospital, through the strike committee designated to represent its professionals, has decided to

call off the strike

that it had held indefinitely

since last October 28

after meeting this Thursday morning with the Ministry of Health of the Community of Madrid.

From the Association of Doctors and Higher Graduates of Madrid (Amyts) they slip that the Ministry, after analyzing the current situation of the service staff, "has verified the divergence between the total numbers that were in its possession and those that functionally carried out their work effectively in the unit, committing to

cover said workforce deficit

until reaching the numbers that were actually programmed".

Likewise, continues Amyts, a series of "

organizational measures"

contemplated in the plan being developed by the Ministry for the adaptation of the new reality of the Hospital Emergency Services of the Community will be implemented, "

in order to favor the reduction of the care pressure

that falls on the doctors of the unit".

32,200 fixed restrooms

On the other hand, the Health Sector Board held today has negotiated the scales of the calls for the stabilization of 9,577 workers of the Madrid Health Service, advancing "in the process to

make 32,200 health professionals permanent

, more than 86% of all your staff".

From this Ministry they assure that the Madrid Health Service currently has other public job offers for different categories that will allow

more than 22,700 professionals to

also acquire the status of permanent staff until 2024.
