PRESS RELEASE - Discovered in 1940 and better known by its abbreviation CBD, cannabidiol is one of the many molecules found in the hemp plant.

Its production and its use are very framed, but it is still necessary to know what the law says concretely.

What are the developments, the restrictions?

Greeneo.com, market leader in CBD oils, tells us more.

CBD oils: what are they?

Let's start with the basics.

CBD oils are made from cannabidiol, an extract from hemp.

Cannabidiol is infused and diluted in so-called "conventional" oils such as olive oil, hemp, MCT... Greeneo has chosen to develop its formulas around organic MCT oil (coconut).

It can be used in different ways;

but whether ingested with other foods or by a few drops under the tongue, CBD oils are supposed to improve our daily lives by helping to reduce anxiety or improve sleep, for example.

To obtain the purest possible result, Greeneo has chosen the supercritical CO2 extraction technique, which allows CBD to be isolated from other cannabinoids.

Then, everyone can choose their oil: CBD + CBN ZEN oil is supposed to help with falling asleep, Active Sport oil is more for athletes, and Period oil for women during their menstrual cycle.

What the law says ?

Legislation on CBD in France evolved at the beginning of 2022, leading to some adjustments.

The CBD law only allows cannabidiol products.

Legislating on this subject is essential because it makes it possible in particular to develop the agricultural sector of hemp in a secure manner, from its production to its marketing, while protecting consumers.

Only the cultivation of hemp carried out according to European and national regulations can subsequently be certified.

For the authorization or not to use CBD in France, the key is in the dosage: the rate must be less than 0.2% of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol, one of the molecules contained in cannabis).

Responsible use

Over time, interactions between CBD and certain medications, such as anti-epileptics, immunosuppressants or anticoagulants, have been observed.

If you are interested in CBD oils, you should therefore consult your doctor to be able to embark on responsible use with complete peace of mind.

It's also important to listen to your body every step of the way.

Because if CBD is normally well tolerated, side effects (diarrhea, weight change, fatigue, drowsiness, etc.) can sometimes be felt.

Note that Greeneo products contain less than 0.2% THC but are intended for an adult audience.

Greeneo products are packaged in an amber glass bottle to protect them from heat.

An unopened vial can be stored for up to two years and is consumed six months after opening.
