• Health "Hot Autumn": the Ayuso Government accuses the opposition of "boycotting" in the midst of a cascade of resignations

  • Direct witness The lottery of out-of-hospital emergencies in the Community: "If there is no doctor, we go to the hospital"

The situation of Primary Care emergencies has entrenched the Government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso with the opening of 24-hour health centers.

Because the plan to cover them with the extra hours of health professionals has been crumbling as the casualties have been growing, especially among doctors,

reaching between 40 and 50% daily during the last week

and with the unions in war footing breaking the agreement reached, and in the case of AMYTS with a strike that will start today.

Already last Friday, when the resignations of the deputy manager of Primary Care and the Primary Care Assistance Directorate of the Southeast area also arrived, the Ministry of Health considered the option of modifying some points of the initial plan to stop the tension.

As EL MUNDO has learned, the proposal that Enrique Ruiz Escudero's department will transfer is a "transitional model" with which the 80 centers will remain open 24 hours and in which there will be two care modalities:

46 of those points will have a doctor and nurse

as the regional government proposed from the beginning, while

the remaining 34 will have two nurses, a caretaker and the consultation with the doctor will be done by videoconference

.

Within this modified plan, the regional government also intends to provide the toilets "this week", according to the sources consulted, with equipment that guarantees interconsultations between a nurse and a doctor when necessary.

And the Ministry of Health

will seek "a solution" for the staff who must move to other centers far

from their job, one of the main complaints of professionals, especially those in rural areas in the north of the region.

Despite this modification that the Community of Madrid will propose to the unions to try to resume the agreement that was closed after six meetings of the Health Sector Board, from President Ayuso's team they point out that

"these organizational readjustments do not justify the boycott of the unions»

towards those who have been pointing from Puerta del Sol in recent days, as well as towards the parties of the left, as the cause of the situation.

"This benefits no one and even less the citizens," the popular

leader said last Saturday

upon her arrival at the Congress of New Generations in Madrid, where she pointed out that this situation "is no longer about Health, it's about leftist politics and of promoting a boycott because these matches in Madrid are now on to something else».

"

What the left cannot do is pour gasoline in this way because it does not benefit anyone

," concluded Ayuso.

The criticisms have not stopped during this weekend in which

18 of the Primary Care emergencies have remained closed, one in five, and in 39, half, one of the three health professionals

(doctor, nurse and caretaker ) was missing.

) that the attention points should have due to the agreement reached, according to the data collected by the unions, which remain firm in their rejection of the plan.

In fact, AMYTS, the majority among doctors, will start their strike against this system tomorrow.

Complaints were also maintained from the political sector towards the health management of the regional government.

The spokeswoman for Más Madrid, Mónica García, asked the president for "facts and not words."

«Yesterday Ayuso gave a rally in Tres Cantos to say that the Health Service works well.

The Tres Cantos emergency room has been without a doctor for 4 days and on other days it has been directly closed," she said.

And the leader of the PSOE-M, Juan Lobato, requested "a shock plan to put an end to the collapse of the Emergency Department in the next 48 hours."

«

This is not the time for resignations, it is the time for solutions.

Fix this problem first, then take responsibility

», he concluded.
