Two young men aged 20 and 25 were taken into police custody at the Nantes judicial police (Loire-Atlantique) this week on suspicion of rape of a 17-year-old minor.

According to

Ouest-France

, it was a child welfare counselor who collected the teenager's confidences and alerted the police.

Described as particularly fragile, the victim had probably crossed paths with his attackers near Place du Commerce, in Nantes, when she wanted to buy them cigarettes.

An approach initiated by the young woman which would have led to a first sexual assault on the part of the two minors.

The teenager would have agreed to an appointment on the evening of Wednesday, November 2 to collect the cigarettes, before the two young men invited themselves to her home.

According to

Ouest-France

, the younger of the two men would then have raped the teenager while the older one held her back.

One of them acknowledges the sexual relationship but denies any rape.

They were to be presented to an examining magistrate on Saturday evening for a possible indictment.
