Today, Sunday, the Egyptian judiciary closed the curtain on the case known in the media as the “Ismailia Bride” after the husband, accused of assaulting his wife with beatings and detention, was sentenced to one year in prison and fined two thousand pounds (about 80 dollars).

Maha Muhammad Omran's lawyer, known as the "Ismailia bride", as well as the bride, were absent from the sentencing hearing for the accused husband, Abdullah Ahmed Mahmoud (the Ismaili groom), whom his wife accused of beating and detaining her.

The session was attended by the lawyer Amir Rabie (the groom's lawyer), who told the local Egyptian website Cairo 24, "There are many women whose bones have been broken and they did not complain about their husbands."

Before the verdict was issued against her husband, the Ismaili bride denied, in statements to Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper, the authenticity of the news circulated about reconciliation with her husband in exchange for one million pounds.

Last October, the Ismaili bride appeared in video clips announcing that she had filed a complaint with the security services and edited a report against her husband accusing him of detaining, beating and torturing her, as he was referred to the court on these charges.

The forensic report issued by the Ismailia University Hospital stated that the Ismailia bride suffered an injury that caused her to have bleeding under the conjunctiva of the left eye, a bruise in the left eye, and a bruise on the face.

The bride indicated that her marriage was traditional, and there was no emotional relationship between them, and she said that she agreed to the marriage under pressure from her family and her father because they had a kinship relationship and that she could not bear to live with him because of the insult, beating, torture and cruelty he had done to her.

And last February, the "Ismailia bride" sparked controversy in the country after her husband beat and violently assaulted her on their wedding night, about 9 months ago.

A small part of the leech that the Ismaili bride ate today... The idea is that after she broke up and the whole world literally watched them more than a source said that they went to the department and made peace and came to joy, I wish #Ismailia calmed down a little because her conversations increased pic.twitter.com/biPVUcLaxu

The pioneers of communication circulated a video of the quarrel that took place in front of a women's beauty center in the governorate.

After that, the couple came out in a video and announced that they are happily living together.

"This is the norm for us.. this is not a new thing for me to hit my cousin.. my cousin and my wife.. I mean if it is not my wife, she is my cousin at first.. it's normal!"

The beating is not normal;

Beating is a crime that has no conditions or justification.

In this video, the groom indicated that a misunderstanding caused the beating, saying in the Egyptian dialect, "There is no new need if I hit my cousin and my wife, and even if she is not my wife, she is my cousin in the first, and this is a normal need for us."
