From 11:32 am today, four short-range ballistic missiles were fired from the Dongrim area in North Pyongan Province into the West Sea.

The flight distance was about 130 km, the altitude was about 20 km, and the speed was detected as Mach 5, and it is presumed to be a North Korean version of the Iskander or Atacms series.

North Korea, which has been firing ballistic missiles mainly into the East Sea to avoid the West Sea close to China, has used the West Sea as a stage for provocation again following the 2nd.

The strategic bomber B-1B Lancer has been deployed to the Korean Peninsula for the first time in five years.

The B-1B, which entered the East Sea from Guam under the escort of Korean Air Force fighters, participated in the U.S.-ROK joint air exercise 'Vigilant Storm', which was extended until today.

North Korea showed a nervous reaction through a statement of condemnation as the overwhelming force gathered, including the deployment of additional US strategic bombers armed with bombs weighing up to 60 tons to South Korea-US stealth fighters.

A spokesman for the North Korean Foreign Ministry said, "We are doing it despite the warning to stop the drills."

At the United Nations, the Security Council was held to discuss the North Korean issue, but the adoption of a statement on North Korea failed because China and Russia were outspokenly on the side of North Korea.

Instead, 12 countries, including South Korea, the U.S., and Japan, issued an over-the-counter joint statement condemning the North Korean provocation.
