The police found an abandoned car during a vehicle check on Thursday evening.
A suspected dangerous object was then allegedly found in the car.
For that reason, a larger area around the car will be cordoned off pending the national bomb protection.
According to witnesses to the police, people were seen running from the scene when they approached the car.
- When the police saw the car, it was abandoned in the middle of the street, says Johnny Gustavsson, press spokesperson for the police.
Occupants may vacate
With the help of the national bomb protection, the police have decided to cordon off an area with a 100 meter radius around the car.
The nearest house will be evacuated for safety reasons.
The incident is now being investigated as a gross violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Substances.
Furthermore, serious violations of the Weapons Act are also suspected as the police have also found weapons in the car.
