This was reported by the website "Moscow 24" with reference to the portal of the mayor and the government of the capital.

Biryukov warned that scammers could try to get into apartments by offering services to replace meters or check gas stoves.

The deputy mayor said that such cases are not uncommon.

In this regard, he recommended that the residents of the city remain vigilant, do not let such “communal workers” in and do not purchase equipment from them, as it can be dangerous during use.

The Moscow authorities reminded that public utilities do not come with checks without warning, with the exception of emergencies.

In September, it was reported that telephone scammers began stealing personal data, posing as law enforcement officers and asking for help in investigating alleged crimes of Central Bank employees.
