The weather on Thursday will be agitated, with in particular sustained and stormy rains in the south-east, according to forecasts from Météo-France.

In the morning, temporary heavy rains will cross Brittany, the Pays de la Loire, Normandy and the west of Hauts-de-France.

Under an increasingly cloudy sky, showers will break out and multiply from New Aquitaine to the northern borders.

These two zones will meet after midday and will form a vast rainy zone in the south-west quarter of the Benelux.

From Lyonnais to the German borders, the sky will still be cloudy in the morning, the bad weather will arrive a little later in the afternoon.

The wind will temporarily gust

During the passage of the most sustained rains, the wind may temporarily blow in gusts.

A good gust of westerly wind will sweep the south of the Garonne in particular in the afternoon, with 70 to locally 90 km / h, up to 100 in the evening around the Gulf of Lion.

Aft of the disturbance, variable weather will return to the northwest with clearings and showers, mainly coastal.

The westerly wind will remain turbulent on the Atlantic seaboard and the Channel coasts.

In the south-east as well, conditions will deteriorate sharply.

Increasingly heavy rains will water Languedoc and Provence in the morning.

They will extend in the afternoon to all of PACA and the northern Alps, while becoming locally stormy and copious, especially in the lower Rhône valley and on the Côte d'Azur.

Minimum temperatures will drop between 5 and 8 degrees from the Grand Est to Auvergne and north of Rhône-Alpes.

They will remain between 8 and 12 degrees in general on the rest of the country, between 13 and 15 on the Aquitaine coast and on the shores of the Mediterranean.

The maximum will reach 13 to 16 degrees in the northwest, 14 to 18 from the Grand Est to Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, 17 to 21 in the southwest and the Mediterranean regions, up to 23/24 in Corsica.
