• Events More than 20 complaints to prevent Olivia from seeing her father: the mother "just wanted to take the little girl away from her environment"

  • Segovia The father: "Olivia was a wonderful girl, a joy and eager to live"

Noemí Martín Lago

, the mother arrested for the alleged murder of her six-year-old daughter Olivia in

Gijón

, has been taken to the Asturias penitentiary after going to court this morning.

The judge has decreed for her provisional prison, communicated and without bail for a crime of murder with the aggravating circumstance of kinship, without prejudice to the fact that this qualification may be modified during the course of the investigation.

Both the

Prosecutor

's Office , as well as the

private prosecution

exercised by the father of the dead minor, had requested that this measure be decreed due to the seriousness of the facts, the high penalties that could be imposed if convicted and the consequent risk of escape and destruction of evidence.

The 48-year-old woman, apparently calm, refused during interrogation to answer questions from her lawyer, the prosecutor and the prosecution.

She had been undergoing psychological treatment for some time, for which she had been prescribed pills, which she supposedly gave her daughter to ingest in a glass of milk.

She took a small dose.

In the last hours, a statement has also been taken from the minor's environment, including grandparents and uncles, and all the judicial resolutions of the case have been requested.

Until 10 months ago, mother and daughter had lived in Segovia, but claiming work reasons, they went to Gijón without judicial authorization and although they continued to work for the same computer company as their brother.

It was then that

Eugenio García

, her father, requested full custody of the little girl.

Last Friday they had granted it to him after five years.

More than twenty complaints were filed by the mother in Gijón, so that the father would not see the little girl.

She filed complaints for mistreatment of her father, and even went so far as to denounce the little girl's uncles and friends of her family because she said that she was harassed on the street.

All complaints were archived.
