Named the number of people planning to get married on the January holidays in Moscow

As RT was told in the press service, the New Year holidays are traditionally popular with newlyweds.

“In 2023, from January 4 to 7, wedding palaces No. 1, 4, 5 and the Kutuzovsky registry office will be opened in Moscow.

Until 2020, January 7 was a day off for registry offices and wedding palaces, but we see the demand for this date, ”they explained.

On January 4 and 6, solemn ceremonies will be held at wedding palaces No. 4 and 5, and on January 5 and 7 - at Wedding Palace No. 1 and in the Kutuzovsky registry office.

The most popular date for the January holidays since 2020 has become January 7th.

“In 2020, about 60 couples got married on Christmas Day, in 2021, more than 50 couples got married on Christmas Day, about 40 couples were chosen to get married on January 7, 2022,” the response to an RT request says.

In total, 170 couples got married on the New Year holidays, from January 5 to 9, in 2022.

Earlier in Moscow, partial mobilization was called a special circumstance for getting married on the day of treatment.
