A young driver injured after falling from the top of a cliff in Dieppe

A serious accident occurred in Dieppe (Seine-Maritime) on the night of Saturday to Sunday.

A 28-year-old man fell from the top of a cliff in his vehicle.

He finished his race "in the vegetation below", according to the SDIS 76 quoted by France 3 Normandy.

The emergency services were alerted around 4:30 a.m.

Conscious but seriously injured

Eighteen firefighters, including a team specializing in rescue in perilous environments, were mobilized.

Five machines were also dispatched.

When paramedics arrived on the scene, the victim was conscious, but trapped in the passenger compartment of the vehicle.

Seriously injured, she was transported to Dieppe hospital.
