• Anniversary Alfonso Guerra and barons of the PSOE plant Pedro Sánchez in the celebrations of the anniversary of the socialist victory of 1982

  • Interview Ignacio Varela: "Sánchez and González are two antagonistic leadership models"

The President of the Government and Secretary General of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez, has taken advantage of this Saturday the celebrations that have been held in Seville to commemorate the victory of Felipe González in 1982 to

charge against the PP

, after the breakdown of the negotiations to renew the Council General of the Judicial Power (CGPJ).

In an event packed with displaced socialist militants in buses, but without the presence of referents such as Alfonso Guerra, Manuel Chaves and most of the socialist barons, Pedro Sánchez has accused the PP of

deteriorating democracy

and coexistence by not complying with the Constitution , by not renewing the CGPJ, whose mandate has expired for almost four years.

"That the Constitution is shamelessly breached is the defeat of moderation and the

triumph of extremism

, it deteriorates democracy and coexistence," he launched the PP, led by Alberto Núñez Feijóo, due to the lack of agreement to renew organs of the Judicial Power , as established by the Magna Carta.

Although

Felipe González

has thrown some darts at the organizers of the event due to the absence of Alfonso Guerra, he

has thrown a cape

at Pedro Sánchez in relation to the renewal of the CGPJ.

Thus, he stressed that when you don't like a law "you have the right to change it, but first you comply with it and then propose that it be changed. "But I don't first skip it, or condition it to something else", because "that doesn't work to

stabilize democracy

", he remarked, referring to the maneuvers of the PP.

Meanwhile, Pedro Sánchez has defended that the PSOE is a party "free of any pressure group", as opposed to the PP and "those powers that have trapped other parties".

The PSOE is "autonomous" and

complies "to the letter" with the Constitution

, both in power and in the opposition, he has said, again alluding to the breakdown of the negotiation to renew the CGPJ.

"The PSOE is a project for change, a party free from any pressure group no matter how powerful it may be," said Sánchez, who has defended that his party will "defend and will only serve the social majority of Spain and never to a privileged minority".
