The upper limit of national health insurance premiums for self-employed people is expected to be raised by 20,000 yen from next fiscal year.

The increase will be the second consecutive year.

Regarding the National Health Insurance, which self-employed people and non-regular workers join, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare reviews insurance premiums every year because the insurance finances are deteriorating due to the progress of aging, and it was held on the 28th. We presented a review proposal to the medical insurance subcommittee of the Social Security Council from the next fiscal year.

In the revised proposal, the annual upper limit of insurance premiums paid according to income will be raised by 20,000 yen from the current 850,000 yen to 870,000 yen.

This is the second year in a row that the rate has been raised.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the upper limit will be paid to single-person households with an annual income of about 11.5 million yen or more.

On the other hand, the long-term care insurance premiums paid by people aged 40 to 64 together with the National Health Insurance will remain unchanged at 170,000 yen, and the annual upper limit of the total premiums will be 1.04 million yen.
