The meeting on Wednesday in Paris between Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz was "very constructive", leading to the establishment of working groups in the fields of energy, defense and innovation, the Elysee said. .

The French president and the German chancellor "discussed the Franco-German relationship in a spirit of very close work in the medium and long term", according to the same source.

For its part, the meeting on Wednesday in Paris between French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz resulted in a "friendly" and "constructive" dialogue, a German diplomatic source announced on the same day.

This meeting, which focused among other things on energy policy or even defense issues, should lead in the coming weeks to "very good and very intensive cooperation", assured this source again, while the signals of disagreement between the two capitals have multiplied recently.
