An open investigation

“Businesses likely to receive these securities must be extremely vigilant when cashing these means of payment: these media always include the details of their issuer on the back”, recalls the Annecy police station.

According to the police, the scammers particularly target high-tech products such as televisions or game consoles.

An investigation has been opened to identify the people who use these fake means of payment.

According to the first elements, these are “marketed on social networks for a price much lower than their face value”.
