On July 21 this year, an elderly woman was assaulted and raped by an unknown man in her home in Dals-Ed.

In connection with this, the woman fell and injured her back and had to be taken to hospital.

It was the woman's husband who alerted the police after the assault.

The next day, a 16-year-old boy was arrested.

The woman and the boy are not previously acquainted.

The boy appears in the criminal register from before.

Technical proof

- In addition to oral evidence, there is also strong technical evidence in the form of DNA that ties the defendant to the crime, Chief Prosecutor Daniel Edsbagge has previously said about the investigation.

The boy has also been charged with sexually assaulting another elderly woman in the area that same morning.

The accused denies the crime.
