From a technical point of view, the DSR-X is an evolution of the existing motorcycles in the range since the chassis is the same as that of SR-S, which in return receives for 2023 the battery and motor improvements of the DSR -X.

The Showa suspensions are, on the other hand, specific and adapted to this trail model: 190 mm of travel and better tolerance for off-road.

The spoke wheels provided in the standard endowment can be substituted, as an option, by spoked tubeless wheels and the Pirelli tires are either Scorpion Trail 2 or Scorpion Rally ST for a more TT-oriented use.

For its part, the powertrain develops a torque of 225 Nm for a maximum power of 100 hp at 3,600 rpm.

Like the motorcycle, the battery has a five-year warranty and promises to retain 80% capacity after 390,000 km in the urban cycle.

The 95% recharge time, with the on-board 6.6 Kw charging module, is announced between two hours on a "Type 2" charging station and (at least) five hours on a domestic outlet (the factory announces a range of 290 km in the urban cycle).

From the first kilometers in Sicily, we discover a fairly classic “maxi-trail” position.

Overall comfort is good and the manually adjustable screen offers good protection.

The front brake gives a correct but sufficiently powerful rendering, the rear brake pedal suffering, on the other hand, from a too long stroke, especially in TT use.

Despite the no-frills suspension, this well-balanced and nimble bike maneuvers into place with ease but above all gets out of curves with impeccable precision, the power available in Sport mode (in addition to Eco and Standard modes), and above all the way it is delivered, giving the banana at every turn.

Base price: €26,950.
